MW Real Estate is a private investment real estate brokerage and property management firm focused on multifamily and commercial assets in Greater Los Angeles. The company was founded by Wolf Baschung in 2010, with operations grounded in the same fundamentals that have guided multifamily investment for decades: market discipline, careful underwriting, and direct, hands-on management of every asset under our care.
MW takes its name from Max Waterman, Wolf Baschung’s grandfather — a successful Pittsburgh broker and developer who built and traded property from the 1920s through the 1950s. Wolf is the third generation in his family to operate in commercial real estate, an inheritance that shapes how MW approaches the business: as long-term stewardship rather than transactional opportunity. Buildings are not paper assets to be flipped for short-term gain; they are operating businesses with tenants, employees, and decades of useful life ahead of them. Treating them that way is built into how the company was raised.
The company’s practices are grounded in the standards set by the two leading designations in commercial real estate: the CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation, conferred by the CCIM Institute, and the CPM® (Certified Property Manager) designation, conferred by IREM (the Institute of Real Estate Management). Wolf Baschung holds both — the culmination of post-graduate education and verified transactional and management experience. He served as 2013 President of the LA Chapter of CCIM and continues on its Board of Directors.
